Your Data Stays in Your Browser

SalaryCalc does not collect, store, or transmit any of the values you enter into our pay calculators. All salary conversions, take-home pay estimates, overtime calculations, and freelance rate computations are performed locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your income figures, tax inputs, and personal financial data never leave your device and are never sent to our servers or any third party.

Information We Collect

SalaryCalc uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data. This includes pages and calculator tools visited, time spent on each, general geographic location (country/region only), device type, browser, operating system, referring websites, and custom events such as which calculator was used (tool name only, never the values entered). We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or IP address through our analytics.

How We Use This Information

Analytics data is used solely to understand which calculators are most popular, identify technical issues, and improve the site. We do not sell, rent, or share analytics data with third parties beyond what is required to operate Google Analytics.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _gid, _ga_*) to distinguish users and sessions. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information and are retained for 26 months by default. You can opt out via your browser's cookie settings, the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by using your browser's private/incognito mode.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.

Third-Party Links

SalaryCalc may contain links to external websites such as IRS.gov or state revenue department sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.

Children's Privacy

SalaryCalc does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. We do not offer accounts, registration, or any feature requiring personal data submission.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
